Well Chris from “Kickin’ It Muay Thai” answered all the questions. A couple of emails later and I was booked in. Training, accommodation, transport, pick up from the airport and a friendly welcome from Chris personally when I got to my destination.
When I met Chris at my accommodation he explained all about the training, the hours as well as the available local services like where to do my laundry, what are good places to eat etc etc.
As this was my first time training Muay Thai I really didn’t quite know what to expect.. Chris took me to the gym, introduced me to all the trainers and really made easy my transition from total novice to trainee Muay Thai fighter.
I had an amazing experience at Kickin’ It Muay Thai. The trainers are actual Muay Thai fighters and so they truly do know first hand what it takes to become the best. The training itself was hard but fun. Everybody at the gym trained hard but had a good time as we went along every day both morning and afternoon.
As Chris is a veteran fighter himself he was also able to impart his knowledge and wisdom which means you are never far from answers to any questions you may have.
As part of the “Kickin It” experience Chris will also sort you out with something to do on Sundays. I went Scuba Diving, Sea Kayaking and Elephant Trekking. All a lot of fun and well organized giving you a great experience of the wider Thailand.
After my time with Chris and Kickin’ It Muay Thai I can without a doubt say that my Muay Thai journey is far from over.
