VISAS?
When you initially arrive in Bangkok, Thailand you will already be in possession of a 30 Day tourist visa depending on what country you call home, or you will be given one at the airport immigration desk.
If you who are unsure as to whether or not you will be given one initially it is best to check with the Thai Embassy in your home country. For those of you who plan on spending more than 30 Days with us, or when your visa runs out, it will be necessary for you to do a visa run to one of the neighboring countries Thai Embassies.
Our tour bus operator offers two of the most popular choices for vacationers wishing to extend their stays.
For a 15 Day visa only you can visit Ranong and then from there travel via long tail boat across the border into Burma (Myanmar). For 30 Day visas and over you will need to take the 2 Day trip to Penang Malaysia.
Depending on what you decide we can arrange all of the details for you ahead of time so as to avoid having to pay the 500 Baht per day overstay fee. In the meantime enjoy your vacation!
Currency?
Baht (THB) is the local currency. ATM’s are located almost everywhere on the island making it very easy and convenient for you to withdraw money. For those of you who need to exchange foreign currency at the bank or if you are using an exchange booth please remember that your passport will be required to do so. Click here for a currency converter between your money and Baht.
Electrical Connections?
Plug ins here are 220 Volts. Depending on where you call home it may however be necessary to buy an adapter for such things as electric toothbrushes, hair trimmers, blow dryers etc. Adapters are readily available here in Phuket and if you should need to purchase one these can be found at most 7-11s.
